Reply To Edit Events
Plans change. Tell us what changed in a reply to your ReminderStream email.
All examples below are fictional illustrations. This guide is not an inbox and does not send email.
Start with the right email
Edit an existing event
- Reply to a new event-created confirmation, event-day reminder or daily summary that offers reply editing.
- Change dates, times, titles or organization, or add notes to an event listed in that email.
- Name each event when the email lists more than one.
Clarify an event in review
- Reply to an “input needed” review notice for a new direct email, manual forward, Cc or Bcc.
- Give the missing dates or details and say which suggestions to save, skip or leave pending.
- Automatic Gmail forwards keep their review flow in Settings.

- Re: Your input needed: 3 event suggestions
1. Save Winter Class Party for December 17, 2027 at 2:00 PM, America/Chicago. 2. Leave Friendship Class Party pending until I know the date. 3. Skip End-of-Year Class Party.
Clear instructions can save item 1 under the usual checks. Item 2 stays pending. Item 3 is skipped. Skipping a suggestion does not delete a saved event.
Before you send
Be specific
- Use complete dates, including the year. Avoid “next Friday” when a date could be mistaken.
- Use event names or the numbers listed in that email.
- Put new instructions above the quoted message. Attachments and inline-only replies are not used as edit instructions.
Watch for a follow-up
- Unclear instructions stay for review. If an event changed since the email, review the current details in our response before replying again.
- Usual confidence, duplicate, account and usage checks still apply, including three events per local date.
- Check the response and any creation confirmation before relying on a reminder. A request alone does not mean it was saved.
Know the boundaries
- Saved-event replies cannot create, delete, cancel or complete events. Use My Reminders for those actions.
- Only events listed in that email can be edited. Older emails are not retrofitted with this feature.
- Reply addresses expire after 30 days. Use the website if a thread expires.
- Calendar copies already saved in another app do not update automatically.
Keep your sender recognizable
- Our From address stays reminders@notify.reminderstream.com. Add that sender to your contacts or safe-sender list.
- The private Reply-To address links your response to the right events. Choose Reply; you do not need to add every reply address.
- Only the original verified recipient and account can use it. Do not forward it for someone else to act on your events.
- Safe-sender settings do not guarantee inbox delivery.
No notice, or prefer the website?
Check Settings → Send email to ReminderStream for suggestions, or open My Reminders to edit saved events. Receiving and delivery depend on availability, enabled verified email destinations and usage limits.
Why didn’t forwarding the same email produce a new notice?
An identical forward can reuse the earlier processing result and skip another review notice. If you intentionally need a fresh review, add a new request above the original before forwarding it. Check History for the actual outcome; do not keep resending while processing is uncertain.
